I am pleased to share that we successfully conducted a Low-field MRI Workshop session at MGH on April 24th, 2026.
During this hands-on Open Hardware workshop we’ll explored the basics of low-field MRI engineering and assemble a simple brain MRI scanner!
In this interactive 4-hour session, included a brief introduction to brain imaging hardware, followed by a step-by-step guide to building a scanner using 3D-printed scanner rings. At the end of the workshop, we measured and characterized the magnetic field of your scanner using a 3D field mapping robot (see picture), which was also assembled during the workshop.

The participants were highly engaged, and based on the post-session survey responses, many expressed strong appreciation for the opportunity to attend and take part in the session.
